Claudia, who hails from Bogota, Colombia, obtained her degree in Veterinary Medicine from La Salle University in 2005.
Since her arrival in Canada in 2006, she has worked at various animal clinics around the GTA, offering her services in numerous capacities ranging from veterinary technician to customer care representative. Claudia keeps our clinic running smoothly behind the scenes, and also contributes her organizational skills to the Community Veterinary Outreach (CVO), volunteering at special clinics at the Yonge Street Mission that provide preventative veterinary care to the pets of homeless and vulnerably-housed pet owners. In March 2017, Claudia proudly took on an additional role as the National Sponsorship and Inventory Manager for the CVO, and is working to arrange donations of veterinary supplies and improve the efficiency of CVO clinics across Canada.
She credits her love for animals to her father, who owned several dogs throughout his life, as well as to having spent most of her childhood vacations on her grandmother’s farm in Cartago – Valle. Claudia is also an experienced pet sitter, so if you are going away and are looking for someone you can trust to care for your pet or pets while you are gone, please give her a call here at the clinic!
