Dr. Sam grew up spending her winters in downtown Toronto and summers north in Algonquin Park hiking and canoeing. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Bishop’s University in Québec and obtained her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the Ontario Veterinary College in 2014. While completing her veterinary degree, she took advantage of exciting opportunities like working with sled dogs and volunteering in India. After graduation Dr. Sam went on to pursue a one-year internship in small animal medicine, surgery and emergency care at Georgia Veterinary Specialists in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dr. Sam joins our team as an associate veterinarian and has particular interest in preventive care, emergency medicine and cardiology. She enjoys the challenges of veterinary medicine and finds working with our clients and their four-legged family members extremely rewarding. Dr. Sam lives in Toronto with her husband Jon and loveable rescue dog Abbey, and in her spare time enjoys traveling, snowboarding and scuba diving.
