Vanessa graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College 2017 with the Benson Medical Award for excellence in surgery and anesthesia. While at Seneca College Vanessa developed a passion for anesthesia in small animal practice, which she enjoys pursuing with our many surgical cases at Roncy Village.
Having been raised both in Toronto and in the Azores (Portugal), Vanessa fell in love with both large and small animals. At the clinic, you might often find Vanessa running around with a list of tasks needing to be completed, or brainstorming ideas to further improve patient care and make Roncy Village Veterinary Clinic as eco-friendly as it can be. Patient care is her number one priority, and her mindset to accomplish this goal is to treat every patient as if they are one of her own (and although she might want to, she promises not to take them home with her at the end of the day!).
Vanessa was very happy to join the Roncy Village Veterinary Clinic team to increase her knowledge in laparoscopic procedures as well as using her skills and knowledge as an RVT to play a critical role in patient care. When not at work, Vanessa can often be found going on hikes with her fiancé and their dog Copper, reading with her rescue cat Chewy, and spending time with her family.
