Vanessa graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College in 2017 with the Benson Medical Award for excellence in surgery and anesthesia. While at Seneca College Vanessa developed a passion for anesthesia in small animal practice, which she enjoys pursuing with our many surgical cases at Roncy Village.
At the clinic, you might find Vanessa running around with a list of tasks needing to be completed, or brainstorming ideas to further improve patient care and coordinate our surgery procedure bookings. Patient care is her number one priority, and her mindset to accomplish this goal is to treat every patient as if they are one of her own (and although she might want to, she promises not to take them home with her at the end of the day)!
Vanessa has been with our Roncy Village Veterinary Clinic team since 2018, and over this time she has become our Lead RVT and Surgery Coordinator. Vanessa’s goal is to use her skills and knowledge as an RVT to play a critical role in patient care and provide mentorship to her fellow Technicians. Vanessa is certified in Fear Fee Practice and is currently looking into becoming a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner.
When not at work, Vanessa can often be found going on hikes with her husband, reading with her first rescue Chewy and basking in the beauty of her recent additions Hera and Zeus from Annex Cat Rescue, who she adopted after providing emergency care for Hera.
